MongKok Cardboard Residential Building

In response to the confined living conditions of cardboard recyclers in Hong Kong, this building proposal provides flexible accommodation with social gardening spaces, to enhance these inhabitable environments.

This project investigates the processes involved in the cardboard recycling industry and the possibility of resuming it as a building material. By turning it into a growing compost, this design utilises such local materials as partitioning elements and furniture, creating an adaptable and sustainable habitat for the cardboard recyclers.
