Portuguese Treepods
Collaboration with Yiki Liong & Aikaterini Lasithiotaki
The Treepod offers a rejuvenating immersive habitat for two yogis. The external appearance of the pod aims to blend in with its natural surroundings, all the while still adding a touch of modern spirit. Movable louvred screens provide shading during the hot summer days. The Treepods are flexible in nature; they have been designed to work as a standalone entity but can also be joined laterally or stacked to accommodate larger groups of guests.
Topography Analysis
The locations of treepods are determined by analysing the distance from the yoga studio and the steepness of the hill.
Multi-functional Internal Spaces
The internal space of the TreePod is composed of a multi-functional living space, storage space and private washing facilities. The main space of the pod is designed to offer an unobtrusive and flexible space to fulfil the guests’ needs throughout day and night.
